This course is designed to enable students understand adverse reactions / conditions generated by inappropriate immune responses.
The students will apply the knowledge gained in basic immunology where they learned about the activities of the immune response under normal circumstances. In this course they will learn about the activities of the immune system under abnormal circumstances. This will include the students understanding the aetiology, classification and pathogenesis of immune-mediated disorders; principles of tumour immunology and immunotherapy. Lastly they willl learn how to conduct laboratory tests to diagnose these disorders.
