The Clinical Chemistry course (MLC 416) is a comprehensive exploration of the biochemical basis of disease and laboratory diagnostic procedures. This 5-unit course spans metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and amino acids, with additional focus on vitamin and ketone metabolism. Learners will investigate hormonal imbalances, electrolyte disturbances, and acid-base disorders, alongside pathologies of the liver, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, and hematological systems.
